Inner Mongolia: Autonomous region surpasses 10,000-filings benchmark

Organizations and individuals in the autonomous region filed 10,672 patent applications in 2016, increasing 20.2 percent year-on-year and surpassing the 10,000 benchmark for the first time. The number included 2,878 for inventions, 6,401 for utility patents and 1,393 for industrial designs. In the same year, nearly 6,000 patents were granted in the autonomous region.
